A London-based hedge fund investment specialist building out its data capability to modernise legacy processes. With ~60 people globally and a flat culture, the business offers direct exposure to senior leadership and real ownership from day one. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, data, and AI, focused on delivering tangible operational impact.
This is a 12-month FTC to build a fully automated reporting and calculation platform, replacing manual workflows that have existed for over a decade. You’ll take full ownership of the system, working across data ingestion, backend logic, and lightweight frontend tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Automate ingestion of structured and unstructured financial data
• Build scalable data workflows using Python and SQL
• Implement complex financial calculations (e.g. NAV/LAV)
• Develop APIs and integrate across internal systems
• Collaborate with stakeholders across data, engineering, and business
• Contribute to frontend tools using TypeScript / React / Next.js
• Deliver production-ready systems end-to-end
Key Details
• Salary: £60,000–£100,000 + discretionary bonus
• Working: 3 days in office (Hybrid, Goodge Street, London)
• Note: First one month will be 5 days onsite
• Tech stack: Python, SQL, APIs, FastAPI, Streamlit, TypeScript, React, Next.js
