BMC Recruitment Group are partnering with a high‑growth financial services and technology business to recruit a newly created Auto‑Enrolment Pension Manager.
The business has a substantial and well‑established pensions proposition and is now focused on expanding its Auto Enrolment and workplace pensions offering. This role has been created to ensure the Auto Enrolment operation is fully compliant, operationally robust, and ready to support future growth.
This is a key leadership position, combining Auto Enrolment expertise, regulatory oversight, operational management, and people leadership.

The Role
As Auto‑Enrolment Pension Manager, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end delivery and compliance of the Auto Enrolment function, ensuring high service standards, strong controls, and positive outcomes for employers, members, and stakeholders.
You will lead an established team, working closely with senior colleagues across the business to ensure the Auto Enrolment operation is efficient, scalable, and well‑positioned to support increased market activity.

Key Responsibilities
Auto Enrolment Operations & Compliance
- Ensure all Auto Enrolment activity is delivered in line with current legislation and regulatory requirements
- Oversee enrolment, assessment, re‑enrolment, and ongoing AE processes
- Own SLA performance, quality standards, and operational controls
- Manage incidents, breaches, complaints, and root‑cause analysis
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and service delivery
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, support, and develop the Auto Enrolment team
- Set clear objectives, conduct regular 1‑1s, and manage performance
- Ensure training, capability, and engagement remain high
- Embed a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a senior point of contact for internal stakeholders and third‑party partners
- Support the wider business as Auto Enrolment activity continues to grow
About You
- Proven experience in Auto Enrolment and/or Workplace Pensions
- Strong understanding of Auto Enrolment legislation, compliance, and operational delivery
- Experience leading or supervising teams in a pensions environment
- Comfortable operating in a regulated financial services setting
- Confident using KPIs, SLAs, and MI to manage performance
- Highly organised, analytical, and detail focused
Candidates without direct Auto Enrolment ownership may still be considered where they bring strong pensions operations and leadership experience.
