Opportunities within the specialist energy claims market continue to expand, and this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced adjuster looking to take the next step in a highly technical and rewarding role.

I’m currently supporting a leading global insurer who are looking to appoint a Senior Energy Claims Adjuster to join their London-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong expertise in energy claims who enjoys managing complex, high-value losses and working across international portfolios.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing a portfolio of complex energy claims from first notification through to final settlement.

Handling international claims across upstream, offshore, onshore and renewable energy sectors.

Acting as a key point of contact for brokers, clients and external partners throughout the lifecycle of a claim.

Reviewing policy wordings, coverage positions and technical documentation to determine liability.

Appointing and liaising with loss adjusters, surveyors, legal representatives and other experts.

⚖ Negotiating claims settlements and contributing to strategy on large and contentious losses.

Maintaining accurate reserves, reporting on claim developments and ensuring compliance with internal processes.

Collaborating with underwriting and risk teams to provide insight on trends and exposures.

What you’ll need:

Strong experience handling energy or large loss claims (insurer or adjusting background).

Exposure to oil & gas, power generation or renewable energy risks.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage key stakeholder relationships globally.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex claims simultaneously.

A high level of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing policy coverage and technical reports.

⚖ Experience negotiating high-value claims and navigating complex coverage issues.

Progress towards or completion of ACII or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.
