Job description
We are working with a highly regarded global investment manager to source an Equity Analyst to support the management of a global value equity strategy. Working closely with the Portfolio Managers based in their London office, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality investment research and maintaining deep insight into portfolio companies and opportunities.
The firm has a long standing reputation for delivering top quartile returns and is widely seen as one of the best in their peer group.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental and valuation analysis across a global equity universe, identifying mispriced quality, cyclical, and special situation opportunities
- Maintain and enhance portfolio monitoring tools, ensuring timely and accurate assessment of valuation, fundamentals, and risk/reward
- Build and maintain financial models, including three-statement and scenario analysis
- Lead company, industry, and thematic research projects aligned with portfolio priorities
- Engage with company management teams and industry participants to test investment theses
- Develop AI-enabled research workflows to improve efficiency and insight generation
- Collaborate with senior investors to translate research into portfolio decisions and positioning
- Track investment performance and contribute to attribution and review processes
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in investment banking or private equity (bulge bracket M&A preferred)
- Strong financial modelling, accounting, and valuation skills, with a desire to produce deep dive research
- Demonstrated interest in equity markets and value investing
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience with data platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet)
- Progress towards CFA is advantageous but not a pre-requisite
- Proactive, intellectually curious, and interested in AI-driven research tools
- Already based in London/UK
