About the Role:
As an Associate Consultant, you’ll be part of a growing team that works with a variety of clients—ranging from small schemes to those worth over £1bn. Your role will involve conducting actuarial valuations, calculating member options, preparing disclosures for accounting purposes, and supporting data and benefit rectification projects.
You’ll also get the opportunity to work directly with clients, attend meetings, and even present alongside senior team members. Plus, you’ll be part of a collaborative, people-first culture where learning and growth are always encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting actuarial valuations for funding, and buy-in feasibility studies
- Calculating transfer values and other member calculations
- Producing member option factors such as early/late retirement and commutation factors
- Preparing IAS19 and US GAAP disclosures for accounting purposes
- Supporting GMP equalisation and other benefit rectification projects
What We’re Looking For:
- Part-qualified FIA with at least 3 years of experience in a UK pensions actuarial consulting role
- Strong understanding of the UK DB pensions industry and key current issues
- Excellent communication skills able to explain complex concepts clearly
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for learning and development
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Why Join?
This firm offers a truly people-first environment with an attractive benefits package focused on wellbeing and career development, and the chance to work on a variety of exciting projects (not solely trustee work) and continue growing your expertise within the pensions actuarial field.
If you're ready to take on a new challenge and develop your career with an innovative and award-winning consultancy, this is the perfect opportunity!
