Quantity Surveyor – Residential Groundworks

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Package: Car Allowance / Company Car + Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Gloucestershire-based residential groundworks contractor. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, the company is expanding its commercial team and is seeking a motivated QS to support delivery across multiple sites.


This role offers strong career progression, long-term stability, and the chance to work on a varied portfolio of residential groundwork projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise contract profitability across multiple projects
  • Prepare and submit quotations for client variations
  • Produce accurate monthly cost and value reports
  • Maintain strong commercial controls throughout project lifecycles
  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities
  • Carry out all standard commercial duties associated with the Quantity Surveyor role


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in value engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
