Steel Contracts Manager

Job description

A leading specialist architectural metalwork contractor based in North London is currently looking for a permanent Contracts Manager to oversee an annual project book of approximately £4 million across multiple high-spec residential and commercial schemes.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £75,000 per annum + Company Car

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Flexibility required to meet project demands)

Location: North London (Office & Sites)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee 4–6 live sites at any one time
• Manage a £4M annual project portfolio
• Lead and support Site Managers reporting into you
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Coordinate architectural metalwork packages from design through to installation
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and drive performance across all sites

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Projects/Contracts Manager within the architectural metalwork sector.
• Strong technical background in metalwork (stairs, balustrades, balconies, etc.).
• Proven track record of managing multiple sites and project teams simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid SMSTS and Black Manager’s CSCS Card (Highly Desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
