About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Grid Compliance Engineer to join our UK/EU team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that our products (BESS and WTGs) are aligned with system operator’s expectations.


You will work at the interface of R&D, front line sales team, and project delivery supporting grid strategy, modelling, and technical due diligence across a diverse portfolio of projects.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of products and facilitate in site level compliance against applicable Grid Codes and connection requirements.
  • Develop and maintain grid compliance strategies for WTG and BESS projects across UK/EU and selected international markets.
  • Deliver and review grid compliance studies using industry-standard tools such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or ETAP.
  • Support project teams in interpreting connection agreements and ensuring alignment with technical and regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in grid regulations, policies, and ancillary service frameworks.
  • Act as a technical interface between clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Advisory function with technical reviews of grid-related documentation and client queries.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks in the grid connections offers of ER and work on its resolution with active stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of internal capability through knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring.


Stakeholder & Project Engagement

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure aligned and efficient project execution.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand project requirements.
  • Represent the organization in discussions with DNOs, TSOs, and regulators where required.
  • Participate in industry working groups, consultations, and events.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Reporting Line

This role will report directly to the Technical Lead for the UK/EU region and work closely with cross-functional teams.


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in grid compliance engineering and network modelling.
  • Strong understanding of power system dynamics and grid stability.
  • Knowledge of UK Grid Code and standards (G99, P28, P27, P29, G5/5).
  • Experience with PSCAD, PowerFactory, or ETAP.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.


Desirable

  • Experience with grid-forming technologies.
  • Familiarity with ancillary service markets.
  • Exposure to international grid codes.
  • Knowledge of grid charging, ancillary services, balancing markets, Capacity Market, and flexibility services.
  • Experience in advisory or due diligence work.


Additional Information

Up to 25% travel may be required.
