Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established supplier of commercial building products. Due to continued growth of their estimating department, our client is keen to add another experienced Estimator to bolster their ranks.


The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a proactive approach to dealing with supply chain, clients and contractors. You will demonstrate deep understanding of aluminium fabrication manufacturing and production processes.


In return you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £55,000. Roles & Responsibilities


  • Liaise frequently with customers and clients upon receipt of sales enquiries
  • Prepare detailed estimates, including take offs from architect drawings to obtain SOPs
  • Assess stringent client specifications and ensure full compliance to requirements
  • Utilise estimating and design software packages such as Logikal and Bluebeam
  • Carry out competitor pricing analysis to support ongoing tenders
  • Present full breakdown of estimates to clients to showcase understanding of project requirements
  • Communicate with customers to review details of submitted tenders and obtain feedback
  • Present handover meetings to design, contract & production departments once projects are approved
  • Coach and mentor Junior Estimators, whilst delegating workloads


Skills & Experience


  • Apprentice trained Estimator or equivalent NVQ qualification
  • Previous shopfloor experience beneficial but not essential
  • In depth, technical understanding of aluminium fabrication production and assembly procedures, particularly windows and doors
  • Demonstrable experience in providing detailed estimates and producing tenders
  • Proven senior stakeholder management experience
  • In depth knowledge of CDM regulations and ISO quality standards
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Excel and estimating software packages
  • Full, UK driving license

Vacancy Summary
