£30,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Storesperson looking to join a growing engineering business with a busy order book and long term career prospects?

The Role of the Storesperson

This is a hands on, fast paced position where you will play a key part in supporting production and engineering teams by ensuring materials and stock are managed efficiently. The ideal Storesperson will have Stock Control experience in an Engineering or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of the Storesperson:

• Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Placing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers
• Carrying out goods in inspections and quality checks
• Investigating stock discrepancies and implementing improvements
• Working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure materials are available on time
• Maintaining organised procurement and stock documentation

Requirements of the Storesperson:

• At least 1 year’s experience in a stock control, procurement, or store’s role
• Experience working an engineering or manufacturing environments
• Experience making kits, creating BOMs, and working with suppliers
• Good systems knowledge and ability to pick up new systems quickly
• Being physically capable of handling stock where required
• A stable work history and long term mindset
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
• Good communication and negotiation skills
