Area Sales Manager

Visum Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading international manufacturer within the building services sector, who are seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the South West & Wales region.

This is a predominantly field-based role focused on driving sales growth across domestic distribution and contractor channels, promoting a high-quality range of plumbing and heating solutions.

Role Overview

• Drive consistent sales growth across the South West & Wales territory
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with plumbing & heating merchants, contractors, and installers
• Promote a market-leading range of domestic plumbing and heating products
• Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
• Deliver structured territory business plans and maintain an active pipeline
• Attend customer meetings, trade events, and industry exhibitions as required
• Monitor performance against KPIs and take proactive action to achieve targets
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular market feedback

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a field sales or Area Sales Manager role
• Background in plumbing, heating, or building services / merchant-based sales
• Strong understanding of distribution and contractor sales channels
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
• Strong planning skills with the ability to manage a defined territory and deliver against KPIs

Salary & Benefits

• Circa £55,000 basic salary
• Bonus scheme
