Due to continued success, they are actively seeking a Civils Supervisor to join their team in Kent.
Your new role
As a Civils Supervisor based in Kent, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of surfacing and highways projects across their South East region. Reporting into the Operations and Contracts Management team, you will take responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, to specification and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily site activities across surfacing and civils projects
- Planning works, contributing to project programmes and ordering materials
- Leading daily site briefings and maintaining a strong on-site presence
- Supervising works to ensure compliance with contract specifications and quality standards
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks and driving corrective actions
- Completing accurate daily site reports, including measurements and operational issues
- Leading, motivating and supporting site teams to achieve optimal performance
- Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, including risk assessments, near‑miss reporting and incident investigations

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need:
- Previous experience operating in a similar supervisory position within highways or surfacing
- Proven experience in asphalt and road laying
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and engage site teams
- A proactive, safety-focused mindset with attention to quality and detail
- CSCS, SMSTS (minimum SSSTS accepted) and a full UK driving licence.
