Cyber Security Consultant

I am working with a consultancy that supports major law enforcement and public safety programmes with cyber risk, assurance and secure design capability. They are growing fast and bringing in a Cyber Security Consultant to strengthen delivery across multiple police aligned projects.
What you will be doing
• Advising on cyber risk, control gaps and best practice for policing projects
• Producing policies, risk assessments and assurance documentation
• Reviewing existing controls and recommending practical improvements
• Supporting secure design within digital transformation programmes
• Working closely with investigation, operations and IT stakeholders
• Building trusted relationships across command and programme teams
What you need
• Experience in a cyber role with exposure to policing, justice or public safety
• Strong grasp of governance, risk, assurance and protective security
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA or CCP
• Solid grounding in cloud, identity and networking principles
• Clear communication style and confidence with senior officers
• Good task and time management
Nice to have ⭐
• Experience with NPPV vetting environments
• Knowledge of police frameworks, PSN compliance or digital evidence workflows
• Understanding of NIST, Secure by Design or supplier assurance
• ISO 27001 or audit background
• Experience delivering into blue light programmes
Requirements
• SC or NPPV preferred or willingness to undergo vetting
• Right to work in the UK
• Travel required when needed
