We are a stunning 600-year-old inn located in a bustling Cornish seaside town, offering 9 charming rooms, a cozy bar, a 60-cover restaurant, and an additional 35 covers outdoors. As we proudly enter our 9th season, we’re looking for a dedicated Front of House Manager to help us maintain and exceed our exceptional reputation as one of the South West’s top dining destinations.

Your Role
As Front of House Manager, you’ll lead our team to deliver outstanding service, ensure high standards, and delight every guest. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing phone, internet, walk-in, and reservation bookings.
- Coordinating customer flow and balancing kitchen loads.
- Greeting, seating, and upselling wines and specials with confidence.
- Ensuring deep knowledge of our wine, beer, and menu offerings.
- Training and developing junior staff to build a skilled, efficient team.
- Handling complaints and ensuring every diner leaves satisfied.
- Supporting service with waiting, pouring drinks, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Maintaining compliance with all industry norms and duties.
- Managing Staff rotas, training and development
- Ensuring business KPIs are met
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in Michelin or rosette-level establishments (preferred).
- Exceptional personal presentation and standards.
- Personal License Holder
- Proficiency with ICR Touch and tablet technology. Experience with Tevalis a bonus
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Calm, composed demeanor, even during busy shifts.
- Physical fitness and willingness to perform hands-on duties.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
