Occupational Health Advisor

ExamWorks UK Careers is looking for a Occupational Health Advisor

Job description

Occupational Health Advisor

Fully Remote | Home-Based (UK)

Permanent / 40hrs per week

Salary 44-48K

Are you an experienced Occupational Health Advisor who enjoys building trusted relationships, managing meaningful casework, and working with the flexibility of a fully remote role?

We’re looking for a confident and approachable OHA to join our established Occupational Health team, delivering a high-quality, end to end OH service to clients across the UK — all from home.

You’ll be supported by a collaborative and experienced team, including the Head of OH Operations and Senior/Lead OHAs, while still having the autonomy to manage your own workload and make professional, evidence based decisions.

What the role looks like day to day

This is a varied and engaging role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be:

  • Managing a remote caseload, including sickness absence, fitness for work and rehabilitation cases
  • Undertaking pre-placement and pre-employment health assessments
  • Providing clear, practical Occupational Health advice to HR and line managers
  • Supporting employees with work-related health concerns in a professional and compassionate way
  • Working closely with other OH services, including Technicians, OHPs, counselling and physiotherapy providers

What you’ll bring

We’re keen to hear from Occupational Health Advisors who are confident, organised and comfortable working remotely.

You’ll need:

  • Current NMC registration
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Occupational Health
  • Experience managing complex OH casework
  • Strong report writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and well reasoned advice
  • Good IT skills and confidence using digital OH systems
  • Up to date knowledge of OH legislation, best practice and professional standards

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A post registration qualification in Occupational Health (Diploma or Degree)

What makes you a great fit

  • You communicate clearly and professionally, even when dealing with sensitive or complex cases
  • You’re approachable and able to quickly build rapport with employees, HR and managers
  • You’re comfortable working independently, but value being part of a wider team
  • You’re organised, reliable and take pride in delivering a high quality service

Why join us?

  • Fully remote, home based role — no travel required
  • Supportive leadership and a genuinely collaborative OH team
  • A manageable, varied caseload
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to employee health and wellbeing
