Residential Surveyor | West Midlands | £50,000–£60,000 + Car Allowance

Full-time, employed | Warwickshire/Birmingham

The role

An independent, RICS-regulated practice is expanding its West Midlands coverage and needs an experienced residential surveyor. This is a quality-led operation, not a volume-driven one. Surveyors work a four-day inspection week with one protected admin day built in for report writing and client follow-up. Diary volumes are realistic. The work is structured around professional judgement, not throughput.

What you'll do

• Carry out RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys, with some private valuation work
• Produce clear, well-structured reports with proportionate advice
• Handle client follow-up conversations professionally
• Maintain high standards of independence and professional judgement
• Work within an allocated postcode area across the West Midlands

What you'll need

• AssocRICS or MRICS qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience completing Level 2 and Level 3 surveys
• A genuine commitment to report quality and clarity
• Comfortable working independently, with an open approach to collaboration
• VRS registration is desirable but not essential
