Associate Lawyer

Jameson Legal is looking for a Associate Lawyer

Job description

Commercial/Technology – US Firm (3+ PQE)

A rare opportunity has arisen for a mid-level commercial/technology lawyer to join the London office of a globally recognised US law firm, known for its depth of platform, international reach, and consistently high calibre of work.

This is not a narrow or siloed role. Instead, it offers exposure to a genuinely broad spectrum of complex, often cross-border matters for an impressive client base spanning technology, financial services, energy, healthcare and retail. You will work on sophisticated, high-value mandates that sit at the intersection of commercial contracting and evolving technology.

The practice itself is busy, collegiate, and outward-facing, with lawyers encouraged to take real ownership of both matters and client relationships from an early stage.

The work

You will advise on a wide range of commercial and technology-driven matters, including:

  • Complex outsourcing and managed services arrangements, often with an international dimension;
  • Technology transactions, including fintech projects, software development, SaaS and cloud hosting agreements;
  • Software licensing and end-user licensing structures across multiple jurisdictions;
  • Commercial agreements covering services, supply, distribution, reseller and referral arrangements;
  • Collaboration, teaming and strategic partnership agreements, particularly in tech-enabled sectors;
  • Digital and online terms, including website terms of use and related compliance considerations;
  • Commercial intellectual property matters arising within broader transactional contexts; and
  • Cross-border projects requiring coordination with colleagues across a fully integrated global network.

The individual

You will be a commercially minded associate with probably at least 3 years PQE (preferably 4-5), a solid grounding in commercial contracts and a genuine interest in technology-led work. Just as important is the ability to engage confidently with clients and operate as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

The firm places real emphasis on quality of work and client service, and is looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative, managing competing priorities, and contributing to business development efforts over time.

For those seeking exposure to top-tier international work, without the constraints of a rigid hierarchy, this represents a compelling next step.
