Senior Resident Medical Officer

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a senior-level doctor (ST6–ST8 or equivalent) to join a leading independent private hospital in Central London.
This is not a standard RMO role. It is suited to a highly capable clinician seeking autonomy, complex case exposure, and a premium clinical environment.
The Role
Working as the senior doctor on-site, you will take responsibility for the assessment and management of acutely unwell patients within a high-performing inpatient service. You will:
- Lead the assessment and management of clinical deterioration
- Manage post-operative complications and acute medical presentations
- Support complex patients, including oncology and high-dependency cases
- Work closely with senior consultants across multiple specialties
- Operate with a high level of clinical independence, particularly out-of-hour
- We are seeking experienced doctors operating at senior registrar level.
Essential
- GMC registered with licence to practise
- ST6–ST8 level experience (or international equivalent)
- Strong background across:
- Acute / General Medicine
- Surgery
- ITU / Critical Care
- Confident managing patients independently, including overnight
Desirable:
- UK healthcare experience (NHS or private)
- ALS certification
- Exposure to oncology and related acute presentations

Working Pattern
- Full-time position
- Resident shift pattern (typically 24–25 hour shifts)
- 7 x 25-hour shifts in a monthly-cycle
- Fewer working days with concentrated clinical exposure
