- Proven experience delivering designs from concept through to manufacture
- Strong 3D CAD experience (e.g. Siemens NX, Inventor, or similar)
- Experience with fabrication, welding, or large structural assemblies
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
- Experience improving manufacturability and driving cost reduction
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Familiarity with industry standards, compliance, or certification processes
Desirable:
- Experience with testing, validation, or production processes
- Additional language skills (e.g. Mandarin) beneficial but not essential
Role & Responsibilities
As Senior Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the design and delivery of key subsystems, ensuring they are production-ready and meet performance, cost, and delivery targets.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading mechanical design from concept through to manufacturing release
- Producing 3D models, engineering drawings, and supporting calculations
- Ensuring manufacturability and production readiness
- Applying practical manufacturing knowledge to improve designs
- Resolving design issues in collaboration with suppliers and production teams
- Managing technical interfaces with international suppliers
- Supporting and reviewing work from junior engineers
- Maintaining high standards of engineering quality, safety, and compliance
Why Join?
- Opportunity to work on complex, real-world engineering systems
- High level of ownership and responsibility
- Exposure across the full product lifecycle
- Growing organisation with strong career development potential
