FP&A Analyst – Media / Broadcasting Environment


Robert Half is currently supporting a leading organisation within the media and broadcasting sector to appoint an FP&A Analyst to join their commercial finance team.


This is a key role within a fast-paced, data-driven environment where financial insight directly informs commercial decision-making across advertising revenue, content performance, and audience-driven business models.


About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the planning, forecasting, and analysis of revenue and cost performance across a complex media business. Working closely with commercial, revenue, and operational teams, you will help deliver clear insight into business performance and support strategic decision-making.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
  • Analysing advertising revenue performance and key commercial drivers
  • Producing insight and commentary on variances, trends, and risks
  • Building and maintaining financial models to support decision-making
  • Partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders to drive performance
  • Supporting month-end reporting and management reporting packs
  • Working with large data sets to understand audience, revenue, and yield performance


About You

We are looking for someone with strong FP&A experience within a media, broadcasting, or advertising-led environment, ideally including exposure to organisations such as ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Netflix, or media agencies.


You will likely have:

  • Strong FP&A / commercial finance background
  • Experience working with advertising revenue models (CPM, yield, impressions, etc.)
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insight
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across non-finance teams
  • Experience in fast-paced, commercial environments

  • 3 days per week onsite (London)
  • Day rate: up to £450 (Umbrella)
  • Start: May
  • Length: 3-6 Months initially
