Senior Commercial Manager – Major Infrastructure (M&E Focus)

A leading infrastructure business with a strong M&E bias is looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to play a key leadership role across a portfolio of technically complex projects.

This is an opportunity to step into a senior position overseeing high-value schemes across data centres, pharmaceutical, and food manufacturing sectors, working within a business known for

delivering large-scale, design-led projects.

You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a commercial team, driving performance, and ensuring robust commercial governance across multiple projects.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a commercial team including Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Assistant QSs
• Overseeing project financials – cost reporting, forecasting, and profit planning
• Providing strategic commercial direction across multiple live projects
• Reviewing and challenging project performance, cost plans, and commercial strategies
• Ensuring strong contract management across JCT Design & Build and some NEC frameworks
• Working closely with operational and delivery teams to drive value and mitigate risk

What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in M&E-focused projects within large infrastructure or complex build environments
• Proven experience managing and developing commercial teams
• Deep understanding of JCT Design & Build contracts (NEC experience beneficial)
• Highly commercial mindset with the ability to challenge, influence, and drive performance
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment across site, office, and home
