About

Alexander Steele have partnered with a global leader that specialize in the distribution of specialty food & nutritional ingredients.


To expand our client's EMEA business, we are seeking a home-office based Sales Manager across distinct regions: UK (Northern Europe), OR DACH (Central Europe). This role will drive sales of food additives including acidulants, amino acids, preservatives, antioxidants, hydrocolloids, phosphates, sweeteners, and plant-based proteins.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing international ingredients business and take ownership of a key regional territory. You will work closely with global and regional product managers to shape commercial strategy, grow existing accounts, and win new business across your designated markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global and regional product managers to define and develop the targeted product portfolio, countries, and market segments in order to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Design and execute a commercial strategy and plan encompassing priority countries and regions, products, volumes, and sales targets.
  • Build and deepen commercial relationships with existing customers while actively prospecting for new accounts to grow market share.
  • Conduct regular market intelligence reviews and communicate insights on products, customers, prospects, and competitors to relevant stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly within your designated region to meet customers, attend industry events, and develop your professional network.


What We're Looking For

  • A results-driven sales professional who thrives on building lasting customer relationships and excels in an entrepreneurial, high-autonomy environment.
  • A self-starter with a hands-on, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently
  • Highly analytical, with a structured and organised approach to business development.
  • A strong network and a proven track record in sales, business development, and trade within the food ingredients or related industry vertical across European markets.
  • Previous experience in international chemical or ingredients trading is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of negotiating and influencing ability, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; additional European language skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
