Job description

Reporting to the Head of NPD Own Brand, you will lead and support all Technical, Quality & Regulatory requirements for BEAUTY BAY's own brand product range. Acting as key technical partner betweein our in-house NPD team and third-party manufacturing partners. Playing a critical role in ensuring product quality, safety, compliance, and consistency, from concept through to market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage QA and regulatory standards across all markets / products
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and control of product specifications and associated documentation
  • Manage change control processes throughout the new product lifecycle
  • Lead batch release processes, retained sampling, storage, and product disposition (including destruction where required)
  • Manage supplier quality performance through third-party audits, spot checks, KPI tracking and continuous improvement
  • Review manufacturing schedules and coordinate external/outsourced QC inspections
  • Evaluate QC reports and make informed decisions on product acceptance, rejection, or rework actions
  • Manage incoming goods inspections and warehouse quality checks
  • Collaborate with operations/supply chain teams to resolve in and out bound quality issues
  • Manage stock investigations, including sortation and re-inspection where necessary
  • Provide expert technical guidance to NPD throughout product development ensuring quality, regulatory, and compliance considerations are embedded in all product decisions
  • Support the management of outsourced regulatory affairs activities
  • Ensure all products are compliant and registered in line with launch timelines and market requirements
  • Maintain strong up to date knowledge of global cosmetic regulatory standards
  • Lead investigations into product issues and complaints, identifying root causes and corrective actions


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in similar beauty or cosmetics industry role is essential
  • Excellant knowledge of global cosmetic regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers and suppliers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confident communicator, able to present technical information clearly to cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support and share knowledge across teams
