Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer (Contract)

Milton Keynes (2 days onsite)

5-month Contract

We’re working with a large enterprise organisation undergoing a major digital transformation, and they’re looking for a Senior SDET to support a critical platform launch over the coming months.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of automation in a predominantly manual testing environment, building frameworks from scratch and driving best practice across the team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up
• Delivering UI and API test automation across a complex enterprise platform
• Collaborating closely with developers and QA to improve test engineering standards
• Supporting BDD scenario design and implementation

Tech stack:

• Java (strong proficiency essential)
• Selenium WebDriver
• Rest Assured (API automation)
• Cucumber / Gherkin (BDD)
• GitHub & CI/CD

Nice to have:

• Experience working with large CRM or field service platforms
• Background as an SDET or strong Automation Engineer
