Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading engineering organisation within the aerospace sector looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced products.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of experience who wants to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to testing and production.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components from concept to production
• Produce CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation
• Support testing, validation, and performance analysis
• Work with manufacturing teams to resolve design challenges
• Participate in technical reviews and engineering discussions
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 3–5 years’ experience in a design engineering role
• Strong CAD experience
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
• Experience with testing and validation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
