Lead Security Design Engineer

Job description

My client is a multidisciplinary practice of Consulting Engineers providing a full range of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design and specialist services, they work on some of the most exciting mission critical projects in the UK and internationally.

They are currently hiring for a Security Lead who will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of integrated physical and electronic security systems for mission critical environments, with a strong focus on data centre campuses and high-assurance facilities, you will ensure security is embedded within the design work as a core function protecting uptime, revenue, and client reputation.

You will translate threat and vulnerability assessment findings into practical, integrated security infrastructure solutions. This is a key role in a our fast growing organisation and the successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop a specialist team from scratch.

This role is inherently risk-led, requiring the ability to develop and interpret Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (TVRA), operational requirements, and client security strategies, and translate these into proportionate, layered, and resilient security design solutions. The role combines technical leadership, design authority, and client advisory responsibilities across all project stages.
