Senior Sales Manager – International Payments & FX Solutions
London
Onsite - 5 days (reducing to 4 days after probation)
£65,000 – £120,000 base + Uncapped Commission
About the Role
Our client is a globally recognised leader in foreign exchange and international payment solutions. They are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Sales Manager to lead business development and drive significant revenue growth across their corporate FX client base.
This is a high-impact, senior-level role with full ownership of the sales cycle - from strategic prospecting through to closing and long-term account development. You will lead by example and act as a trusted advisor to corporate clients navigating complex international payment and currency risk challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Business Development
- Own and drive the full 360° sales cycle at a senior level - from strategic prospecting and pipeline management through to closing and key account ownership
- Identify, target and win high-value corporate clients with complex international payment and FX requirements
- Lead senior-level client meetings, pitches and negotiations, presenting bespoke FX and risk management solutions
- Develop and execute a structured business development strategy aligned with revenue targets
- Maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
Client Relationships & Market Expertise
- Build deep, strategic relationships with decision-makers across corporate finance, treasury and procurement functions
- Act as a market authority — staying current with FX market movements, macroeconomic trends, and regulatory developments
- Collaborate closely with the FX dealing desk to structure sophisticated, tailored solutions
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the full product suite
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions within the CRM
Compliance & Client Onboarding
- Oversee the client onboarding process in partnership with Compliance and Financial Crime teams
- Ensure robust KYC understanding to deliver suitable, compliant products and services
- Liaise with risk and trading teams regarding client credit facilities where required
- Ensure all activity is carried out in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven track record in FX and B2B sales, with 3+ years' experience in a senior or lead sales capacity
- Demonstrable success managing complex, high-value sales cycles end-to-end
- A strong existing network of corporate relationships across industries with international payment requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of FX products, financial markets, and international payments
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team
Desirable
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to FX and payments
- Existing relationships within treasury, finance, or procurement functions at corporate level
