Better Placed are delighted to be partnering with Brook Taverner on an exciting opportunity for an Export Account Manager to join their international sales team. For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to shape growth across a key international region.

This is a key commercial role, leading the German region, an important export territory with strong existing business and clear scope for further growth.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the successful candidate will play an important role in developing distributor partnerships, identifying new commercial opportunities and driving performance across the territory. It will suit someone who enjoys combining relationship management with a proactive, growth focused approach.

The role
• Manage and develop distributor relationships across German territory
• Take ownership of an important territory with strong existing foundations and clear scope for further growth
• Achieve, and where possible exceed, annual sales targets set as part of the wider team objective
• Identify growth sectors and market opportunities across the region, keeping close to customer needs, competitor activity and commercial trends
• Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and follow up on sales opportunities, with a clear focus on driving growth through new accounts
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reporting and market updates
• Work closely with logistics, sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, strong service levels and effective resolution of any issues
• Provide monthly business updates to management and stakeholders in line with agreed deadlines
The candidate
• At least three years’ experience across sales, account management, business development and client relationship management
• Proven experience identifying, managing and developing distributor relationships
• German language skills are highly desirable for this role
• Additional language skills would be advantageous
• Product experience is highly desirable, whether gained in a B2B or Consumer environment
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credible and lasting customer relationships
• Able to learn quickly and develop a strong understanding of a varied product range
• Commercially minded, target driven and self motivated
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Hybrid working when not travelling, with frequent travel across key European territories
