Job description
Key Account Manager - Implantable Hearing Devices
Field-based | Midlands
This is a rare opportunity to join a globally recognised medical device company at the very top of the implantable hearing sector - a business whose technology has literally changed the way people experience the world around them.
If you're an experienced NHS Key Account Manager looking for a role with real strategic weight, genuine stakeholder influence, and the backing of a world-class organisation, this is worth a serious look.
The Role
As Key Account Manager, you'll be the strategic commercial lead for a defined portfolio of NHS Trusts and providers across a broad central and southern England / Wales territory. This isn't a transactional sales role - it's about building long-term partnerships, shaping patient pathways, and driving sustainable growth at account level.
- Own and lead commercial strategy across a portfolio of NHS Trust accounts, with full responsibility for performance, forecasting, and growth planning
- Develop and execute annual account plans aligned to Trust priorities, procurement cycles, and broader business objectives
- Build trusted relationships with senior clinical, managerial, commissioning, and finance stakeholders
- Identify pathway bottlenecks and work cross-functionally to improve patient access and service development
- Use data and market intelligence to shape account strategy and identify new opportunities
- Coordinate education and knowledge-sharing activity that builds customer capability and advocacy
About You
- 3–5+ years of NHS or MedTech key account management experience, ideally across complex multi-stakeholder Trust environments
- Proven ability to influence senior NHS stakeholders and commissioners - you're comfortable in the boardroom as much as the clinic
- Strong commercial acumen with solid financial planning, forecasting, and pipeline management skills
- Analytical, organised, and disciplined - you take CRM and account planning seriously
- Experience in hearing healthcare, ENT, or a related sector is a genuine advantage, though not essential
- Familiarity with Miller Heiman or similar strategic selling frameworks is a plus
What's on Offer
- Competitive base salary + benefits package
- 25 days holiday plus UK bank holidays
- Company pension, group life insurance & income protection
- Vitality healthcare + Medicash cash plan
- Flexible working - up to 40% remote
- Cycle to work scheme, gym access, and paid exercise classes
- Annual salary review + service anniversary reward
- The chance to work for an organisation whose products genuinely transform lives
This role is being recruited exclusively through Patrick Reed Consulting Ltd - the UK's only recruitment consultancy dedicated solely to the Audiology and hearing care sector.
