Role Overview:

  • Location: Gloucester, London, or Manchester (up to 4 days onsite)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design user-focused interfaces through wireframes, prototypes, and iterative testing
  • Turn complex user needs into clear, intuitive digital experiences aligned with best practice and standards
  • Build and maintain reusable UI components and scalable design systems
  • Develop modern front-end applications using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
  • Create responsive, accessible interfaces suited to secure and restricted environments
  • Integrate front-end solutions with APIs and backend services
  • Optimise performance for speed, usability, and low-bandwidth scenarios
  • Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver end-to-end digital services


Main Skills Needed:

  • Strong front-end development experience with React, Angular, or Vue
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Proven UX capability across wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Ability to integrate with RESTful APIs and handle JSON data
  • Background in secure or regulated sectors (e.g. Government, defence, national security)
  • Familiarity with secure development principles such as DevSecOps
