• Days : £16.28 - £24.42
• Nights: £19.90 - £24.42

HG Recruitment are recruiting Class 1 Night Drivers in partnership with GXO / Tarmac. Professional HGV C+E drivers are required to APPLY NOW for their operations in Portbury / Aberthaw / Westbury.

Night trunking operation moving palletised cement between GXO Portbury and Tarmac Aberthaw / Westbury sites. This is a Monday to Friday ongoing role with consistent start times and secure long-term work.

SHIFT DETAILS:

• Start time: 17:30 18:00 (Night rate paid from start of duty)
• Shift length: 910 hours average
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday

DUTIES:

• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others
• Securing loads (strapping and curtain work required outdoors)
• Completing trunk runs between Portbury and Aberthaw (approx. 54 miles each way)
• Trailer swaps and double runs per shift
• Returning loaded trailers to Portbury / Westbury
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Providing a professional and reliable service

Requirements:

• HGV C+E (Class 1) licence minimum 3 months
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
• Knowledge of WTD & Drivers Hours
• Good geographical awareness
• Confident reversing (including blind side)
• Good communication skills and flexible attitude.

PPE REQUIREMENTS:

• Lace-up safety boots
• Hi-Vis vest
• Safety glasses
• Hard hat with 4-point chin strap
