Duties

Help clients with their everyday tasks, such as personal hygiene, getting dressed, and moving around to keep their dignity and independence.

Help clients prepare and eat their meals to ensure they receive the necessary nutrients.

Assist with taking medicine according to care plans and the advice of healthcare specialists.

Keep accurate records of the care you give, following the rules and standards of your organization.

Speak and write to clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.

Help clients take part in social events and outings in the community when appropriate.

Always follow health and safety rules to protect both clients and staff.

Use IT tools to keep care records up-to-date and document observations that need to be made.

Requirements

Experience in a care home or home care is a plus, but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.

Valid driver's licence is helpful for community outings or visiting clients.

Good written and spoken English for effective communication.

Basic IT skills to maintain electronic care records.

Strong organisational abilities and the ability to follow care plans exactly as written.

A kind and compassionate personality with strong people skills.

Motivation to help people who are vulnerable and learn more about the healthcare field.
