This position provides front-line technical support for nearly all of the systems for which IT Services is responsible. Responsibilities include installation and/or configuration of computing hardware (computers, network switches, printers, etc.), software, A/V devices, network cabling, diagnostics, troubleshooting and end-user assistancePosition Description:DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide end user support via remote assistance and telephone. Document incoming helpdesk requests using internal ticketing systemInstall, repair and maintain desktop and laptop computers, peripherals and related systemsAssist in maintaining hardware and software inventory for asset management.Demonstrate broad knowledge of technology principles, practices, and proceduresSelf-manage in a way that allows flexibility to support multiple tasks at any given timeAssist in administering the telephone system and all user handsetsAssist in creating or updating end user support documents within knowledge managementEnd-user Account ManagementBuild and maintain relationships across departmentsOther duties may be assignedMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience2+ years of overall IT experience preferred2+ years' experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS environment preferred2+ years' experience supporting Microsoft Office applications preferredAdvanced knowledge of Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookDemonstrate ability to learn and understand basic office software applicationsKnowledge of network security practices and Antivirus software preferred· Other Skills:Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teamsGood written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsExceptional Customer-oriented attitudeITIL (foundational level, but exposure to more detail than foundation is often necessary)WORKING CONDITIONS:Normal office environmentExtending viewing of computer screensESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Spends time at a computer workstation and desk.Moves throughout department or other locations to access or exchange information.May involve carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
