Job description
Senior Software Engineer
Snyk | Intelligence (Remote, UK)
About Snyk
Snyk is a leader in secure, AI-powered software development, enabling millions of developers to build quickly while staying secure. Our AI-native Developer Security Platform integrates seamlessly into development workflows, helping teams find, fix, and prevent vulnerabilities across code, dependencies, containers, and cloud environments.
Our mission is simple: empower developers to innovate securely in the AI era — increasing productivity while reducing risk. We operate with a strong set of values — One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking — which shape how we build, collaborate, and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Why this role?
You’ll join a forward-thinking, AI-native team building a next-generation intelligence platform that protects customers in real time.
This role sits at the heart of Snyk’s security capabilities — from advancing malware scanning to dramatically reducing intelligence delivery times from hours to minutes. Your work will directly impact how quickly and effectively customers can detect and respond to threats.
If you’re excited about building scalable, foundational infrastructure and want to play a key role in securing open-source ecosystems and software supply chains, this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of developer security.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and deliver high-quality, well-tested solutions to complex technical problems
- Own projects end-to-end — from ideation through to production and iteration
- Scale and harden distributed systems to meet growing demand and evolving use cases
- Contribute to operational excellence across reliability, performance, and observability
- Mentor and support engineers, helping to grow technical capability within the team
- Evolve the SDLC towards AI-assisted — and ultimately AI-orchestrated — development
What you bring
- A collaborative mindset — you enjoy solving problems with others and value diverse perspectives
- Strong ownership — you can lead projects from concept to production with confidence
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, including debugging both technical and organisational challenges
- A growth mindset — open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Strong team orientation — you understand that success is shared
- A solid foundation in software engineering principles and best practices
Nice to have
- Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
- Familiarity with AI-native development workflows and tooling
- Exposure to security products and an understanding of customer pain points in this space
