We’re working with an innovative clean energy company developing hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen generation systems and integrated power solutions.


As they scale their engineering team, they’re looking for a Senior EC&I Engineer to support existing systems and help develop next-generation products from concept through to deployment.


This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who wants to stay close to the technology combining electrical design, controls, instrumentation, process safety and real-world system delivery.


You’ll be working across:

  • Hydrogen fuel cell systems
  • Hydrogen generation technologies
  • Integrated power platforms
  • Real-world deployed industrial equipment


What you’ll be doing

  • Lead electrical, controls and instrumentation delivery across projects and product development
  • Define system architectures and make key design decisions
  • Develop single line diagrams through to detailed electrical designs
  • Select electrical and instrumentation equipment, including hazardous area (ATEX) applications
  • Support build, integration, testing and system verification
  • Undertake fault finding, hands-on evaluation and support of live systems
  • Produce documentation for compliance, validation and manufacture
  • Support safety and risk activities including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, SIL, LOPA and Cause & Effect reviews
  • Support CE / UKCA compliance activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical expertise across the team


Experience Required:

  • Strong background in electrical, controls and instrumentation engineering within industrial or process environments
  • Experience designing electrical systems to EN 60204 and BS7671
  • Knowledge of functional safety (EN 61511)
  • Experience in ATEX / hazardous area environments
  • Siemens PLC hardware/configuration experience
  • Comfortable working across design, testing, troubleshooting and delivery
  • Ability to take ownership from requirements through to commissioning
