We are delivering a first-of-a-kind, fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage, supporting the transition to a decarbonised industrial future.

We are seeking a dynamic Site Engineer to support delivery on a major infrastructure project based in Redcar and Cleveland.


Role Purpose:

To support the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for the project.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the senior project team in implementing the engineering strategy and framework for the designated project
  • Manage materials, plant, and labour within allocated budgets and resources, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient delivery
  • Ensure all systems, design information, procedures, and quality systems are clearly communicated
  • Support project delivery teams by verifying work and providing technical guidance
  • Lead or support project assurance activities, including audits and regular team meetings to identify best practices and areas for improvement
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers, managing their input into design, development, pricing, and delivery
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure best practice and use of latest technologies
  • Provide coaching and motivation to project teams, promoting high performance and continuous improvement
  • Ensure engineering solutions are fit for purpose from concept through to installation and maintenance
  • Consider site conditions, constraints, CDM regulations, and client requirements in all engineering decisions
  • Apply quality assurance principles to ensure outputs meet specified requirements
  • Produce accurate weekly and monthly progress and productivity reports
  • Support the use and implementation of digital tools to enhance project delivery


Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven engineering experience within a relevant discipline
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry best practices
  • Degree in an engineering discipline (or ONC/HNC); professional qualification (e.g. MICE, MIStructE) desirable
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to escalate issues when required
  • Experience in managing or supporting construction delivery within infrastructure or related sectors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships under pressure
  • Customer-focused, flexible, and proactive approach
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of BIM and ability to interpret models and generate reports (desirable)
  • Experience in underground utilities, drainage, and earthworks
