The Role
We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to develop & grow our presence across the South West of England.
This is a field-based, remote role focused on driving sales through distributor networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategy across the territory
- Introduce GYS products to new distributors
- Grow sales within existing accounts
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Deliver product training and sales support to distributor teams
- Promote new products, campaigns, and initiatives
- Achieve and exceed sales targets
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Territory
South West England (including key areas such as Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, and surrounding regions)
Ideal base: Bristol - Exeter (M5 Corridor)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in area sales / territory management
- Strong track record of hitting or exceeding targets
- Experience working with distributor networks (essential)
- Background in one or more of the following sectors:
- Automotive
- Agriculture
- Tools / Hardware
- Industrial equipment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, independent, and driven
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
- Visiting distributors and prospects on a structured call plan
- Opening new accounts and securing first orders
- Training distributor sales teams to drive sell-out
- Expanding product listings within national/regional groups
- Implementing pricing and promotional strategies
- Supporting marketing campaigns in the field
