We are currently supporting our client with recruitment for the following role:


Engineering Manager (Energy) - Permanent · Full‑time / Glasgow Region

An excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering delivery across major transmission and distribution projects within a long‑term energy framework. The role sits within a well‑established UK infrastructure contractor known for its strong engineering culture, commitment to professional development and consistent delivery of complex projects across the power and energy sector.


This position offers long‑term programme security, genuine technical ownership and clear progression pathways.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering and design delivery across the full project lifecycle
  • Champion high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across all engineering activities
  • Support the development and assurance of temporary works solutions
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, project teams and supply chain partners
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and ensure construction information is accurate, complete and aligned with programme requirements
  • Coordinate materials, plant and technical resources to support efficient delivery
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements and key project documentation
  • Ensure quality standards are met through effective inspection, testing and site verification


Key Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership
  • Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering on major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Strong Engineering Management capability with the ability to lead, guide and support diverse technical teams
  • Solid understanding of design, construction and commissioning processes
  • Adaptable, solutions‑focused mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
