Pega Architect Job Description:
Reading/Leeds, UK (Travel to Manchester 4-5 days a month)
SC Eligible OR Active SC Candidates
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Design end-to-end solutions using the Pega Platform
- Define application architecture, integration patterns, and data models
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security compliance
Technical Leadership
- Lead development teams and provide technical guidance
- Review designs, code, and implementations against Pega guardrails
- Mentor developers and ensure adherence to best practices
Delivery Support
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Product Owners
- Support Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) across sprints
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues
Integration & System Design
- Design integrations with external systems (APIs, REST/SOAP services)
- Work with enterprise architecture teams on system alignment
✅ Quality & Governance
- Enforce Pega standards, guardrails, and coding best practices
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through reviews and testing strategies
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with the Pega Platform
- Expertise in:
- Case Management
- Decisioning
- Workflows
- UI (sections, harnesses)
- Experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, messaging)
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery methods
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Pega certifications:
- CSA (Certified System Architect)
- CSSA (Senior System Architect)
- LSA (Lead System Architect) — highly valued in the UK
- Experience in UK industries (Banking, Insurance, Government, Telecom)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Client Communication
- Working in RAINBOW team
- Ability to think out of the box and lead from ideation, conceptualities and delivery of technical capability
