Civil Design Engineer | Water & Wastewater

£40,000 – £60,000

Hertfordshire (Hybrid – 3 days office/site)

Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours

Are you a Civil Design Engineer looking to work on infrastructure that genuinely makes a difference?

We’re recruiting for a growing design team delivering water and wastewater treatment projects across the UK. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of civil design packages and play a key role across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility through to construction support.

The Role

• Lead and coordinate civil design packages across multiple projects
• Manage and review work from external consultants
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and process teams
• Ensure designs meet buildability, safety, and regulatory standards
• Support design risk reviews, technical documentation, and construction phases

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in civil design engineering (water/wastewater preferred)
• Strong experience with earthworks, foundations, structures, and drainage
• Confident working in multidisciplinary project teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit
• Understanding of BIM processes and collaborative design workflows
• Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
