Full-stack Developer

Super Benji is looking for a Full-stack Developer

Job description

Full Stack Developer

Location: Oxford (Full-Time, Office-Based)

Type: Permanent

About Super Benji

Super Benji is building the future of work - one where AI doesn’t replace people, but works alongside them as a true teammate.

We believe the best work happens in relationships, not spreadsheets. Yet today, too much of our time is spent on repetitive tasks that pull us away from the conversations that actually matter. That’s where Benji comes in.

Super Benji is an AI-powered sales teammate designed to help people build meaningful, high-quality relationships at scale. It researches prospects, spots the moments that matter, and crafts thoughtful, personalised outreach – all in a way that feels human, not automated. The result? Less time spent on admin, more time spent building trust, and better outcomes for everyone involved.

We’re an early-stage, fast-growing company based in Oxford, with big ambitions to redefine how modern sales works. Our team is small, ambitious, and collaborative, and we’re looking for people who want to help shape not just a product, but a new category of relational selling.

About the Role

We’re looking for a capable Full Stack Developer to join our team in Oxford. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle, from database to UI, building and maintaining web applications on a modern cloud-native stack. This is an office-based role suited to someone who enjoys collaborative, hands-on development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full stack applications using Node.js and React
  • Model and manage relational data in PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimisation
  • Deploy and operate containerised services on Azure (AKS, Container Apps, or equivalent)
  • Use GitHub Copilot effectively as part of your daily development workflow, including agent-mode tasks
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint ceremonies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable software

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Node.js (REST APIs, async patterns, TypeScript preferred)
  • Solid React experience — component architecture, state management, hooks
  • PostgreSQL — query writing, indexing, migrations
  • Azure cloud services — deployments, storage, networking basics
  • Containers — Docker, and familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS a plus)
  • Confident use of GitHub Copilot, including agent mode and prompt-driven workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Bicep) and PowerShell scripting

What We Offer

  • Collaborative, senior-led team environment
  • Modern tooling and genuine investment in AI-assisted development
  • Oxford city centre office
  • Competitive salary DOE
