Marden Hockey Club is one of the largest and fastest-growing hockey clubs in the South East, offering outstanding facilities and a vibrant, welcoming club environment.
454 junior players across 24 junior teams
200 adult players across 13 senior teams
A clear ambition to continue developing players, teams, coaches, and the wider club community
The OpportunityWe are looking to recruit enthusiastic coaches across all teams, from minis and youth hockey through to senior adult teams.
We welcome:
Experienced, qualified coaches looking to work within a large, ambitious club
Aspiring and developing coaches who are just starting their coaching journey and want support, mentoring, and opportunities to progress
Roles are available on a weekly coaching basis, with scope for lead coach responsibilities, matchday coaching, and wider programme involvement for the right candidates.
Key ResponsibilitiesDepending on role and experience, responsibilities may include:
Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate training sessions
Supporting player development in line with England Hockey guidance
Working with squads to develop technical skills, tactical understanding, and teamwork
Creating a positive, inclusive, and fun environment for all players
Supporting matchday coaching (where applicable)
Working collaboratively with other coaches and club volunteers
Upholding club values and safeguarding standards at all times

Experience & Qualifications
All levels considered – from new coaches to highly experienced practitioners
England Hockey coaching qualification desirable but not essentialWillingness to work towards coaching qualifications (support available)
Safeguarding and DBS checks required (club support provided)
