Job Title: Class 1 (C+E) Container Driver
Location: Manchester (M32)
Job Type: Full-Time / Ongoing Work
Salary: Competitive (DOE) + Overtime Available
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing logistics operator. We are seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers to join their team based in Manchester (M32). This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, stable work with a reputable company specialising in container haulage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport shipping containers to and from UK ports
- Complete timely deliveries and collections to customer sites and distribution centres
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure road-worthiness
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and digital records
- Comply with all driving legislation, tachograph regulations, and WTD rules
- Represent the client professionally at all times
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- Previous container haulage and port experience (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of port procedures and systems is an advantage
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
