Commercial Manager

Lead commercial strategy across complex, high-value Defence programmes.

We’re supporting a rapidly growing organisation looking to appoint a Commercial Manager to take ownership of commercial delivery across a portfolio of complex programmes.

This is a senior, high-impact role with real influence over contract strategy, risk management, and commercial decision-making.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for leading the full contract lifecycle while partnering with senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management
• Negotiate and manage complex, high-value agreements
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with procurement frameworks (e.g. Procurement Act, SSCR)
• Manage change control, claims, and disputes
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Strong Commercial Management experience within Defence, Aerospace, or Public Sector
• Proven track record managing complex contracts
• Knowledge of DEFCONs/DEFSTANs and regulated environments
• Experience across contract types (Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, Frameworks)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• MCIPS (desirable)
• Currently hold or are eligible for security clearance
