Mammographer – Weekend Insourcing Opportunities

Location: East Midlands

Availability: Saturdays & Sundays

Rates: Competitive

We are seeking experienced Mammographers to support weekend insourcing lists across the East Midlands, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives across:

• X-ray
• Ultrasound
• Image Reporting
• Biopsy Services

As part of the breast imaging team, you will provide high-quality clinical care and diagnostic support, contributing to excellent patient outcomes and supporting vital NHS capacity initiatives.

Requirements

To be eligible, you must:

• Be currently working within an NHS Breast or Radiology Unit
• Have experience performing high-quality mammography examinations in line with consultant breast surgeon requirements, policies and procedures
• Hold a BSc in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers (DCR)
• Hold a Postgraduate Qualification in Mammography
• Be HCPC registered
• Have at least 6 months’ recent NHS experience working as a Mammographer

Key Responsibilities

Duties may include:

• Delivering high-quality mammography examinations
• Supporting breast imaging pathways, including X-ray and ultrasound services
• Assisting with image reporting and diagnostic assessments
• Supporting biopsy procedures where required
• Maintaining high standards of patient care, safety and clinical governance throughout
