Job description
Project Engineer - OSS Foundation Design - Advisory
Global Consultancy - Offshore Wind
Multiple locations across the UK
I'm working with a leading global consultancy to find their next Project / Structural Engineer within Foundation Design.
They’re on the lookout for a Project Engineer who loves offshore wind and isn’t afraid to get stuck into the tricky stuff, especially offshore substations. This person will jump between design, Owner’s Engineer work, and smaller project leadership roles, keeping complex engineering moving smoothly and spotting opportunities to push things forward.
What the role gets up to:
- Technical work on multi‑discipline offshore wind projects
- Reviewing designs, shaping key deliverables and guiding structural engineering
- Supporting Owner’s Engineer scopes, procurement documents and design reviews
- Running smaller projects as Technical Lead or Project Manager
- Helping improve processes and contributing to bids
- Working with teams across engineering, advisory and environmental
- Staying sharp on offshore wind tech and bringing fresh ideas to the table
What they’re looking for:
A civil or structural engineer (ideally chartered or nearly there) with offshore wind experience, especially substations. Someone who knows industry standards, can write solid technical documents, communicates well and keeps projects organised. A good network in the sector is a big plus.
Bonus points: Experience in detailed design, fabrication, T&I, procurement support, surveys, geotechnical work, certification or CAPEX estimating.
