Leading Infrastructure Consultancy, Full time | Permanent | Infrastructure | Drainage & Highways | Bristol

About the role

A well-established infrastructure consultancy is looking for a talented Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing specialist team in Bristol. The team focuses on drainage, highways and development infrastructure, supporting a broad client base of predominantly large residential developers.

You will work across projects at all stages, from initial feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction, on schemes ranging from around 50 units up to several thousand dwellings. The role is office-based three to four days per week.


What we are looking for

  • Significant post-graduate (or equivalent) experience in civil or infrastructure engineering
  • A strong grounding in pre-planning and planning stage projects, with good working knowledge of detailed design and technical approvals (S104, S38, S278)
  • Proficiency in Site3D and Causeway Flow, with familiarity with Civils 3D being an advantage
  • Sound technical ability paired with excellent communication skills
  • A proactive approach to your own professional development and that of those around you


Key responsibilities

[Senior] Day-to-day project management and design leadership across multiple schemes and clients

[Senior] Client and stakeholder liaison, preparation of fee proposals, project management and business development

[Both levels] Guiding and supporting junior team members, delegating and reviewing work to maintain quality and meet deadlines

[Both levels] Developing Concept and Detailed Drainage Strategies

[Both levels] Developing Levels Strategies and managing the production of Earthwork Appraisals

[Both levels] Producing planning documents including Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Technical Notes and Utilities Statements

[Both levels] Undertaking Due Diligence reviews to support land acquisition


Location and working pattern

Bristol office, 3 to 4 days per week on-site.
