NEC Supervisor Lead (Associate Director)

Location: Flexible on office base - London, Bristol, Winchester, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds


Are you an experienced NEC Supervisor ready to step into a strategic leadership role, shaping and growing a high-performing service line across major UK programmes?


We’re working with a leading global consultancy operating at the forefront of the built environment – delivering programme and project management, cost consultancy, and advisory services across some of the UK’s most high-profile public and private sector developments. With a strong pipeline of complex infrastructure and building projects, they are continuing to invest in and expand their NEC Supervisor capability.


The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading and developing a growing NEC Supervisor service. You’ll take ownership of quality, resourcing, and delivery, while acting as a trusted advisor to clients across major programmes of work.

You’ll sit within a well-established surveying and project delivery team, with access to a broad network of technical specialists and support functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the NEC Supervisor service, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple projects
  • Manage team resourcing, recruitment, capability development, and training
  • Act as a central point of expertise for NEC contract interpretation, templates, and guidance
  • Support business development activities, including bids and pipeline planning
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to grow the service


Project Delivery Duties

  • Develop a detailed understanding of works information and project scope
  • Monitor site activities through inspections and regular site visits
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and weekly reports
  • Review and manage quality processes, including ITPs, test results, and as-built records
  • Identify and manage defects using digital tools (e.g. Fieldview or similar)
  • Oversee samples and benchmarks process, coordinating with technical advisors
  • Witness testing and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary input into inspections and defect resolution


About You

  • Degree qualified in a relevant construction discipline (or equivalent)
  • NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager Accreditation (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC4 ECC contracts
  • Proven leadership experience, managing and developing teams
  • Client-facing with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable using digital tools and common data environments
  • Committed to quality, collaboration, and service excellence
