Role: Infrastructure Project Engineer

Company: IT Solutions/Services Provider

Location: Barbican (Hybrid)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

• Infrastructure Projects: Design, implement, and upgrade complex IT systems, including cloud migrations, server deployment, and network infrastructure improvements.
• System Optimization: Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive optimisation to maintain high uptime
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers on diagnostic methodologies, advanced troubleshooting, and technical best practices
• Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with security standards like Cyber Essentials.
• Microsoft Stack: Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
• Virtualization & Networking: Proficiency in VMware or Hyper-V, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, L3 routing, VLANs)
• Automation: Scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation and system management
• Security: Strong understanding of backup solutions, firewalls, and security best practices
• Experience: 4–7 years in a senior, 3rd line, or infrastructure role, within an MSP environment
