Lead Product Designer

Zebra People | B Corp™ is looking for a Lead Product Designer

Job description

Lead Product Designer needed to help shape premium, content-rich and subscription-driven experiences across a portfolio of global media brands. This role sits at the intersection of editorial storytelling, CMS-driven design systems, and subscription product design, balancing strong brand expression with scalable platform consistency.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on hands-on execution, craft, and system refinement, not management. You’ll be expected to move quickly, improve quality across multiple brands, and elevate both content experience and subscription performance.

4 days a week needed in London office.

Circa £90,000 (possibly a little more for the right person, if needed)

Sponsorship is not being offered.

THE ROLE

  • Elevate the visual and interaction quality of content-heavy and subscription experiences, with a focus on hierarchy, typography, and layout.
  • Design within and extend design systems and component libraries used across CMS-driven platforms.
  • Improve end-to-end subscription journeys (acquisition, paywalls, onboarding, retention, account).
  • Translate editorial, commercial, and brand needs into clear, scalable design solutions.
  • Partner closely with editorial, product, engineering, and marketing teams to align storytelling with subscription performance.
  • Identify and deliver high-impact design improvements across multiple brands.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Strong experience in CMS-driven, content-rich digital environments, ideally media or publishing.
  • Proven experience designing subscription products (e.g. Paywalls, sign-up flows, membership, retention).
  • Strong editorial design craft - typography, hierarchy, composition, and content-led UX.
  • Experience working with design systems / component libraries at scale.
  • Ability to balance brand expression with system constraints in multi-brand environments.
  • Experience improving conversion and retention journeys through design.
  • Confident working hands-on in Figma and collaborating closely with engineers.

If this sounds like you and you have the relevant experience shown/mentioned in your portfolio and CV, then please do apply!
